Preschool

We offer a Preschool program on both campuses for children 3 and 4 years old that features a creative curriculum based on New York State Learning Standards. Parents have the option of selecting a Half or Full-day program.

Children receive a rich, holistic learning experience that is developmentally appropriate and child oriented.

Our program includes:

Because our Preschool classes are housed in the same buildings as Grades K through 8, younger children have access to all the building's amenities such as the gym, outdoor space, technology, computers, assemblies, and concerts.

Also, Preschool students see the older students as models for academic success, which enables them to make a smooth transition from Preschool to Kindergarten.

Kindergarten through 8th Grade

Our two campuses are accredited by the Middle States Association and adhere to the New York State Learning Standards and Diocesan Curriculum Guidelines in all subject areas.

Both sites feature:

We find our small class sizes and attention to the needs of the individual are valuable to all students, and particularly helpful to those in the middle school years of 6th, 7th, and 8th Grades. In fact, research has praised the K-8 educational model by noting that student test scores and attendance in K-8 schools remain stable, while test scores and attendance often drop for many students who attend stand alone middle schools.

Preparing Students for Academic Success

At Queen of the Rosary Catholic Academy, our students receive competitive scores on standardized tests, and we take great pride in successfully preparing them for the academic demands of high school.

Our 8th Graders are accepted to top high schools including:

Scholarships totaling nearly $200,000 have been awarded to our students to enable them to attend Catholic high schools where they are further prepared for academic advancement.

Nearly 100 percent of seniors in Catholic high schools graduate. Of those, 98 percent attend college with the help of nearly $200 million in scholarships.

Spiritual Development

As part of our mission, Gospel values and the Church's teachings are interwoven within the Academy's curriculum to enrich each student's educational experiences.

Students are prepared for the sacraments, participate in religious celebrations throughout the liturgical year, and live their faith by engaging in community service.

Enhanced Learning Environment

In addition to our core curriculum, all students participate in:

After School

We offer an optional after school program from 2:45 pm to 5:45 pm, Monday through Friday, on both campuses.

The program is designed to help working parents by providing a supervised environment for their children. Time is allotted for a snack, homework, and recreation. For students needing additional assistance with their subjects, tutoring is available.

Fees vary depending on the number of children in a family attending after school, and the number of days during the week each student uses the program. A fee schedule is available on request.

Parent Volunteers

Parental involvement is encouraged and we welcome volunteer service on a variety of committees.
